Hello, I’m Jen!

Who am I and what on earth did I do?!

That’s a very good question!

The short answer is: I’m Jen Le Marinel and in 2017 I walked 1,400 miles from Land’s End to John O’Groats for charity.

The longer answer is: Having worked in the corporate financial services world as an actuary for 8 years I decided it was time for a change. I had been building up the idea for my own business for a while and I decided that it was time to make it happen. But I couldn’t go straight into it without first fulfilling my long held dream of undertaking a massive personal challenge. The idea to walk from Land’s End to John O’Groats came while researching other potential long-ish hikes, and once the idea was in my head it resonated so much that the decision was made. And as they say, the rest is history! ! I hope you’ll enjoy reading about my adventure.

Of course it would be remiss of me not to mention my fundraising. During my walk I raised just shy of £10,000 for a number of charities supporting children and less able adults. More information about the charities I supported can be found here.
